Tips for a Conducive Home Office.

 1. INVEST IN A COMFORTABLE CHAIR

As houses gets smaller, users will be more confined to their workspace than before. Restricted space and movement should be compensated with chairs that provide good support, ” says Mr. Alan Ng, managing director of local furniture company C&R Interiors.

He suggests looking for one with good lumbar support and backrest that allows for tilting at multiple angles. Mesh seats work well for Singapore’s humid climate.

2. PERSONALIZE YOUR SPACE

Just because it is a space for work does not mean it has to be boring. Create an environment that is both personal and uplifting in your home office, says Mr. Ng.

It is the perfect chance to go for the bold colours and quirky decor that might not fly in a shared office.

3. KEEP MOVING

While the health benefits of a standing desk are widely touted, it might be too big of a commitment for some.

Mr. Ng suggests going for a height-adjustable desk that allows one to easily go from-sitting to standing throughout the day.

If budget allows, get a smart table that lets you adjust the height via mobile phone.
